Jubhad enjoys attending school!

Jubhad is four years old and lives in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, India. This area is infamous for being a red light district of Mumbai. Jubhad faces hardships of living in extreme poverty with her parents. Jubhad’s mother has been subjected to the harsh market of their neighborhood and her father works as a taxi driver.

Sadly, Jubhad’s parents cannot afford to send her to school because of their minimal incomes. Jubhad suffers from a poverty trap caused by the lack of affordable education. Jubhad’s parents cannot earn sufficient incomes because they have little education experience, meaning they cannot afford to sent her to school. Sahaara is a foundation based in India that works to support children like Jubhad break this cycle of poverty.

Thanks to your donation, Dale, the cycle will be broken. Sahaara can support Jubhad throughout her first year of school because of your help. Now, she will not be subject to repeating the fate of her parents and can happily attend school with children her age. Jubhad now loves to share her toys and play outdoors with her classmates.
