Three year old Farhin lives in Govandi, one of the poorest slum communities in Mumbai. Her father, Sahir, is a cable operator, and her mother, Najmin, is a housewife. Farhin has one elder sister as well. The family income is barely enough to make both ends meet.
SeeYourImpact partner, Sahaara, runs a balwadi near Farhin’s house, which she is now enrolled in. This is a boon to Farhin because majority of slum children are deprived of quality and accessible education. At the balwadi, Farhin is taught to recognize the English and Hindi alphabets, and poems in both languages. She’s also exposed to general knowledge activities (colours, animals, flowers, personal hygiene etc), colouring, and various educational games and activities.
Farhin loves to attend the balwadi as apart from studies, there are several playtime activities to engage the children as well. Farhin is a live wire who is energetic and lively in class! She is naughty by nature and thoroughly enjoys physical activities like running, hopping and playing catch-catch!
Your generous donation, Amarjeet, Crossroads C, Naomi and Dwayne and Terese, will enable Sahaara to provide an entire year of education to Farhin, thereby ensuring that she has the opportunity to a stable future!
Thank you for your generosity.
Thank you, for your support of Farhin!
